Dr Melvin D Gerald Dr. Gerald is a native of Cerro Gordo, North Carolina, a small rural community known for its tobacco fields, located in the southeastern region of Columbus County. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Morehouse College of Medicine, in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Gerald graduated from Howard University College of Medicine, in Washington, DC. He completed a residency in Family Medicine from Freedmen's Hospital, Washington, DC. Dr. Gerald received a M.P.H. degree with a concentration in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. Dr Gerald is certified with the American Board of Family Physicians, is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is licensed in North Carolina, the District of Columbia and Maryland.
